Norman Reedus' next film project: 'The Spaces In-Between'

Norman Reedus' next film project will be "The Spaces In-Between," according to director Tate Steinsiek in a podcast Thursday night on The Queen of Scream. According to Steinsiek, "The Walking Dead" fan favorite will play a character that's "very suiting to him."
"I can't give too much away at this early date," he laughed. "But he's going to be utilized rather well, let's just say."
Steinsiek -- who is known as one of the special effects makeup artists on two seasons of Syfy's "Face Off" series -- has worked with Reedus before on a 2008 short film he directed called "Clown." Now, when you watch the film you won't recognize Reedus in it. Why is he buried under so much makeup that he's unrecognizable? Trust me, there's a good reason... kind of.
"It was right after 'Tropic Thunder' came out and he was absolutely infatuated with Robert Downey Jr.'s role, so he was like, 'Dude, the only way I'm going to do this is if you turn me into a black man and I'll be a like a Creole or something,' and I was like "Dude, that's perfect.'"
And the rest is history.
"The Spaces In-Between" is currently in pre-production in New York City and should wrap filming by mid-November. No release date has been set yet, but don't be surprised if you see more Reedus and Steinsiek collaborations in the future, as Reedus has more directing projects in the works, and Steinsiek has done his special effects makeup in the past on his film "The Rub."
Steinsiek can be seen Tuesday nights on Syfy's "Face Off." And Reedus can be seen in the upcoming season of his show, "The Walking Dead" on AMC. Maybe you've heard of it?
