‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Scoop: The Governor Will Get ‘Much Darker’

Plus, Norman Reedus tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that Carl is going to go down a very dark path!

The Walking Dead actor Norman Reedus spoke exclusively with HollywoodLife.com on Apri 2 at the premiere of Fox Searchlight Pictures’ Trance, hosted by the Cinema Society & Montblanc. On the carpet, Norman spilled some juicy details about season four, following the explosive season three finale that aired on March 31.

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4 Spoilers

Norman told HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “I think [the governor's] evolution of a bad guy is not dead yet. To reach the comic book status, like in the comic book, the guy is so ferocious, he’s on the precipice of becoming that guy. So the last episode wasn’t about the war, it was about who is becoming what in that world. Carl, what he has become, Rick what he has become, what Daryl has become. That’s the intro into season 4.”
Fans are well aware that The Walking Dead ended season three on a very dark note. But according to Norman, the governor won’t be the only character going down a dark path.
“[Carl's] dark right now. I think he’s going to get much darker. I think all of us are real dark right now.”
As for Daryl?
“I think having these people relying on [Daryl] is something he’s never had before and he has this new sense of self worth that he never thought he could ever have. So through these people, that’s the glue that’s keeping him around. I think he’ll go hard again after [killing] Merle. I think Merle is going to shut him down for a minute.”

Norman Is Celebrating ‘The Walking Dead’s’ Success

If only October, when season four premieres, would come quickly! These spoilers have us aching for new episodes. For now, Norman is celebrating the show’s success. After the premiere ofTrance, Norman and all the other attendees drank Grey Goose cocktails at the triplex Penthouse at 497 Greenwich Street.
