As you surely have figured out by now based on past patterns, “The Walking Dead” season 4 is set to premiere on AMC this October, where it will air the first half of its new episodes before taking a hiatus until February. There may not be a firm premiere date yet, but we do have something to share now that is nonetheless pretty sweet: The official Comic-Con poster for the show.
This poster features Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and Daryl (Norman Reedus) front and center, which should be seen as some sort of evidence that these are the two characters that the network and producers strongly consider to be the leads of this show right now. With that being said, we also have to say that the shot of Michonne (Danai Gurira) aboard the horse is also pretty awesome, and a sign that there are still incredible things to come for her character.
“The Walking Dead” on its own would be a marquee attraction at Comic-Con, but you have to add to it this year the fact that this is the tenth anniversary of the Robert Kirkman comic, and there will be mass celebrations for that. Expect this panel to be among the most-crowded of the convention, and the overall experience to be littered with all sorts of walker fun. (And by “walker fun,” we mean that it will add the coolness of zombies and take away the fact that they will eat your flesh.)
The panel discussion will take place on Friday, July 19, and if you have not read much in the way of details about that, you can do so here. Meanwhile, be sure to brace yourself for the start of “The Walking Dead” Preview Weekend on Thursday until Sunday, where we will likely have an opportunity to see the first actual footage of the new season. (If not that, there will be something shown off from behind the scenes.)
