Watch Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus in Japanese Promos For The Walking Dead, With Bloopers (VIDEOS)
Several months ago The Walking Dead stars Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon) and Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) headed to Japan on a press tour, and while there, they filmed several Japanese promos for the fourth season of the hit series, which only recently concluded in the U.S..
MoviePilot.com got their hands on two of the latest promos, and they’re pretty entertaining! In the first promo below Andy and Norman take turns speaking aboutTWD Season 4, addressing the lengthy hiatus between the season’s halves. “The Walking Dead is on a break at the moment,” Andy begins before Norman takes over. “Season 4 will be coming back to FOX Japan very soon.”
To play up that they are in Japan, both Norman and Andy are rocking traditional robes. What’s more? Andy’s got a snazzy fan for a prop, while Norman holds an arrow with a feather at the end — very fitting for Daryl’s portrayer!
In the second promo, Norman and Andy take part in a traditional Japanese tea ceremony as a voiceover announces what we presume to be some TWD-related info. But that’s not even the best part. As the clip continues, viewers are treated to several bloopers from Andy and Norman’s promo shoot. At one point Norman sticks out his tongue at his co-star and pal, causing him to break into laughter. “I can’t even look at you,” a smiling Andy tells Norman in a later blooper.

Norman Reedus reads BroApp messages on the Tonight Show
Careful research for the past two minutes has taught me that the BroApp is a "relationship wingman" for guys who want to spend more time with their bros instead of with their broad. Presumably because women are stupid and boring and make you change your socks. I'm not sure. Regardless, the BroApp will send cutesy messages to your girlfriend so you can have fart contests and tell jokes about farts and spend more time at Fart Mountain or whatever it is men do when they're not barbecuing.
Naturally, the messages are infantilizing and idiotic and contain teddy bears, because women, amirite?
The thing is though, that when they're read out loud by Norman Reedus even bro messages mysteriously become poetry.

The Walking Dead: Five Interesting Norman Reedus Facts From The Tonight Show
The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus appeared as a guest on Wednesday night’s Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Here are five interesting facts that Reedus revealed during his appearance.
5. Norman Reedus Didn’t See A Lot Of Boobs In New Orleans – Norman Reedus was one of the Grand Marshals for Mardi Gras. When Fallon asked Reedus if he saw a whole bunch of naked people when tossing out beads, Reedus said, “I was a little disappointed, because I didn’t see a whole lot of boobs. I think that’s what the tourist do on Bourbon Street, but not the locals.”
4. Laurie Anderson Inspired Norman Reedus’ Twitter Handle – When Reedus was little, he went to a concert of Laurie Anderson. During her song Sharkey’s Day, she sings the “sun’s coming up like a big bald head.” Those words stuck with Reedus, and he uses “big bald head” as the name of his production company and Twitter handle.

Reedus said, “Yes, of course.” Then, through the magic of television, Reedus fired a laser out of his eye, creating a huge explosion.

Norman Reedus Sees Big Things Ahead For Daryl Dixon on ‘The Walking Dead’
Daryl Dixon may be one of, if not the most, popular characters on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” but as a leader among the battered survivors the show chronicles, he’s a “reluctant leader,” Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, told the Journal’s Paul Vigna.
“I’ve always tried to play him like he’s had his back up against the wall, that’s his reason for fighting,” Mr. Reedus said. With the group splintered after the second attack from the Governor, “he’s back to square one, he’s back to feral, upset Daryl.”
In a second clip, Mr. Reedus explains how he got the role of Daryl, and why his character will never get a puppy.

Norman Reedus of 'Walking Dead' on 'LIVE with Kelly and Michael': 5 highlights
Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on "The Walking Dead," chatted with hosts Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan on their nationally syndicated talk show "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" on Friday, Feb. 21, and talked about his character's love life, his real-life teenage son and other topics.
The hit AMC zombie series resumed its fourth season earlier this month (check out our RECAP of the latest episode, "Inmates"). Reedus' appearance on "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" marks his second major daytime talk show appearance -- he chatted with the ladies of "The View" in November.

1. Norman Reedus talks about Daryl Dixon's love life.
Reedus' character has yet to hook up with anyone on "The Walking Dead," while fans have for the past four seasons speculated about potential romances, spurring a flurry of online fan-shipping (pairing characters), especially on Tumblr -- there's people who ship Daryl and Carol ("Caryl" -- and Reedus and actress Melissa McBride, who plays the character, came up with a song about the two), Daryl and Beth ("Bethyl" -- and the two characters are currently separated from the rest of the group on "The Walking Dead") and Daryl and Michonne ("Dixonne"). Reedus himself has joked about pairing Dixon with Glenn, played by Steven Yeun.
On "LIVE with Kelly and Michael," Strahan asked Reedus if Dixon will find romance on "The Walking Dead."
He remained coy, as he usually does, and reiterated another stance he has often maintained in interviews.
"I don't know, you know, I'm very hesitant. I'm not really allowed to tell you," Reedus said. "The thing about that is, I really want to play him sort of- he's not the type of guy that's gonna like, throw you up against the tree in the moonlight. I want him to be awkward as possible, so um, I mean, once that happens, it happens. You can't go backwards. So, I really want the characters to earn that."
"To earn romance," Strahan said.
Ripa said she was surprised people even took time to "make love" during the zombie apocalypse.
"Yeah, and the fact that we don't have showers and stuff like that," Reedus joked.
Strahan added: "I'll tell you right now, if I'm going out, I'm going out like that! Life goes on, baby!"
2. Is Norman Reedus afraid Daryl Dixon will be being killed off "The Walking Dead"?
The actor has often been touted as the resident heartthrob of "The Walking Dead," spurring the T-shirt slogan, "If Daryl dies, we riot." Ripa asked Reedus if he ever gets afraid Dixon will be killed off.
"Every script," Reedus said. "Oh yeah. They've made it very clear that no one's safe on the show but I'd be lying if ... we'd all be lying if we didn't say we got the scripts and thumbed to the end and see if we were alive."
3. Norman Reedus' son scored major coolness points in school because of "The Walking Dead."
Reedus maintains a home in New York City, where his ex, supermodel Helena Christensen lives with their 14-year-old son, Mingus. Ripa asked Reedus if the boy watches "The Walking Dead."
"Yeah, I mean, he used to watch it kinda like this," Reedus said, putting his hands over his eyes.
"That's how I watch it," Ripa joked.
"Sometimes that's how I watch it," Reedus replied.
"I picked him up from school one day and he had this big smile on his face, so I was like, 'What's up with the smile?' And he said, 'Some of the big kids at school said, 'Is your dad Daryl Dixon?' And he was like, 'Yeah.' So he's getting some big kid love," the actor said.
4. How did Norman Reedus get into acting? Indirectly ... love.
Reedus recalled a story he has talked about before about how he moved to Los Angeles for a girl.
"I followed a girl that I had met in Japan to Los Angeles, like a moron," he said, adding that he had lived in the county for a bit with his mother. "I kinda followed her there. She immediately broke up with me, married somebody and went to like, Hawaii or something. And then, I got a job fixing motorcycles at a place called Dr. Carl's Hog Hospital (which closed in 1997) in Venice, California."
"Went to work one day, there was a fight, quit the job," the actor continued. "A friend took me to a party, where I drank too much and yelled at some people and somebody asked me to be in a play.
"So yelling got you discovered," Strahan joked.
"It did, yeah," Reedus said.
"There was a lady from William Morris who was in the audience at the play," he continued. "And I was the understudy -- I wasn't even the main guy -- and then later, she later became a casting director, she actually cast me in 'Boondock Saints.'"
The 1999 action movie, which starred Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery as Irish-American fraternal twins who become vigilantes, became a cult hit (and a favorite staple in male college students' dorm rooms for years following its release) and spurred a 2009 sequel.
Reedus said he was "not really" interested in acting beforehand.
"I've learned a lot while I've been doing it and I've really gotten into it," he said. "But I did a [1997] film called 'Floating,' which was one of my first films and that film sort of opened my eyes to a whole bunch of different stuff. I got into it, yeah."
5. On those fan tattoos ...
Reedus occasionally posted on his Twitter and Instagram pages photos of fans' tattoos of his likeness or even signature. Ripa and Strahan talked about it on the show and Strahan also asked Reedus: "What body parts have you autographed?"
"Um, I've pretty much covered the whole body," Reedus joked.
"Some of the tattoos are, you know, they're complete back," he added. "It's flattering."

Helpful hint: In case of hospital visit, be sure to remove all traces of possible fake blood first...or else expect a bad reaction from the staff.
Walking Dead star Norman Reedus found out the hard way, as the actor told the story of a recent hospital visit to the ladies of The View on Tuesday morning.
The actor, who plays hot crossbow-wielding hillbilly Daryl Dixon, explained to the women that he was 'always' getting hurt on the set of the show.

During one of the scenes, the 44-year-old actor received a head injury, for which he had to be taken to the emergency room.
'I got hit in the head and had stitches across my head but I was covered in blood," said Reedus. "The ambulance came, took me to the hospital. I come in and they see me and I'm just covered in blood and people start freaking out.'
However, if the bizarre visit to the ER wasn't enough, the incident took a turn for the strange after the actor was discharged.
'The interesting part comes on the way home because they brought me back to set, where one of the teamsters drove my car and had me in their car driving back home,' said the former Prada model. 'But as we come up over a hill and there's an 18-wheeler on its side.'

The actor quickly went from fictional zombie fighter to real-life hero as Reedus talked about his harrowing experience saving a man's life
(Note: This is not the first time the actor has spoken about the event, as he recounted the story in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine in October.)
'This lady's in the road and she's going, 'I think he had a heart attack! He's pinned behind the wheels!' So I jumped out of the car I was in, pulled this man, this big, sweaty man, out of a truck, laid him down,' said the actor. 'Then the ambulance came and a paramedic said, 'Did I just take you to the hospital?' And I was like, 'No, no, no, it's this guy!'

When he isn't saving lives, the actor/artists is also working on his craft: photography.
His new book of photos, titled The Sun's Coming Up .. Like a Big Bald Head, was recently published.
In addition to his book, Reedus also at a showing of his art, much of which prominently featured roadkill, much to the chagrin of host Barbara Walkers, who wasn't even familiar with the term until recently.
'I ride a motorcycle to set and I kept seeing so much roadkill on the ground,' he said. 'So I just started stopping and taking these pictures of roadkill.'

Norman Reedus appears on 'The View': 3 highlights
Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon on "The Walking Dead," appeared on the ABC show "The View" on Tuesday, Nov. 26, days before the mid-season finale of the hit AMC zombie series.
The 44-year-old actor and his cast mates have just finished filming season 4. "The Walking Dead" is filmed in rural Georgia and on Monday, Reedus shared on hisTwitter page photos of his road trip up to New York, where "The View" studio is located and where he lives.
This marks Reedus' first appearance on "The View," which targets to a female audience (note -- the co-hosts briefly discussed menopause at the start of Tuesday's show). His "Walking Dead" character, who wields a cross bow and rides a motorcycle, is a fan-favorite and the actor has over the past few years risen to fame as a sex symbol as a result of the show's success.

1. Even "The View" women can't keep their hands off of Norman Reedus.
Reedus appeared on "The View" in a long-sleeve button-down shirt and dark vest, tie, pants and dress shoes -- a professional, formal look he has sported before at press events for "The Walking Dead" that marks a big contrast from the rugged, sleeveless, hunter attire Dixon wears that's practical for a zombie apocalypse.
"It's so funny because you go around, you know, you are way dressed, 'cause in 'Walking Dead,' it's like, arms showing, all buff ... you kill the zombies with your crossbow, your muscles just flex just right as you rear back ... how much did you have to practice to get proficient with that cross bow?" asked co-host Sherri Sheperd, 46.
"Well, first off, there's a lot of makeup on those arms," Reedus joked.
"No, that's not makeup," Sheperd replied, as she and guest co-host and Univision personality Karla Martinez, 37, touched his left bicep. "That's nice, girl!"
Reedus said the show has a weapon's expert who makes sure actors are comfortable using their character's weapons.
2. Norman Reedus taught Barbara Walters about roadkill.
Reedus is an avid painter, sculptor and photographer, who recently published his own photo book, "The Sun's Coming Up .. Like a Big Bald Head." The actor once had his photographs displayed at an exhibit in New York City's Times Square. Among them -- 30 pictures of roadkill, several of which are featured in the book.
"I heard you didn't know what roadkill was before," he told "The View" co-host and veteran newswoman Barbara Walters, who is 84 and grew up in Massachusetts, New York and Miami.
"I did not and when I found out, I didn't like it," she said. "You explain why I should."
"I had a show in Times Square for photography ... hugh photos and a lot of it was roadkill, but at the time, I was doing a lot of interviews about how the zombies, if they're terrifying or not and I was saying how, the way that ('The Walking Dead' director and special effects master] Greg Nicotero and our team do the zombies, it's not the makeup, it's the scared, lost, dying person behind the monster that's scary," Reedus said.
"So I kept saying that in interviews all the time. But I ride a motorcycle to set and I kept seeing so much roadkill on the ground," he said. So I just started stopping and taking these pictures of roadkill."
